How to Use the Template

  1. Go to the Home tab and add each rep’s name and monthly quota.
    (This is a one-time setup unless your team changes. Feel free to remove reps from here if they leave)
  2. Go to Monthly Totals tab and enter month and base salary for that month
  3. Log deals as they close in the Deals tab with product/service and commission rate.
  4. Commission amounts calculate instantly-no formulas to build or repair.

For clean monthly reporting:
Save a copy at the start of every month, delete old deals, and continue using the existing rep list and salary structure. This prevents version confusion and keeps historical copies preserved.

  1. When you first download the template, there is some sample data already filled to help you understand how everything works. After that is done, you can delete data from all GREEN fields.
  2. After that is done, You can follow the instructions from the template- Enter Rep Name and Quota on the Home Tab. Enter Name, Month, and Base Salary on the Monthly Totals Tab. Then, you can log each in the deals tab whenever you want.
  3. Across the entire template, ensure that names are correctly spelt. Use the same name for the rep across all tabs in the template.
  4. Do not rename the tabs in the spreadsheet.
